43rd Annual Awards Banquet Weekend
Gold-Record Selling R&B Artist Tyrone Davis will ‘Turn Back The Hands of Time’ to kick off the Mathews-Dickey Boys’ & Girls’ Club’s 43rd Annual Awards Banquet Weekend festivities at 8 p.m., Saturday, February 21, at the Adam's Mark Hotel, 4th & Chestnut Streets, in downtown St. Louis.
The concert follows the 15th Annual Alumni Reception and Awards Program earlier that evening and celebrates the 79th Birthday of President, CEO and Co-Founder Martin L. Mathews.
The weekend continues at the Adam's Mark with the noon, Sunday, February 22 banquet, where 1,000 young people and volunteer coaches are recognized for achievements in baseball, basketball, football and swimming. Tickets are on sale now for both events by calling (314) 382-5952, ext. 234.

Six Outstanding alumni and more than 50 community leaders are recognized at Saturday's 5 p.m. pre-concert, invitation-only reception.
‘The Spirit of St. Louis’ award is presented to St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley, for his exemplary service to the community and leadership during a challenging transition.
Mathews-Dickey Alumnus Johnny Furr, Jr., vice president of sales development and community affairs for Anheuser-Busch, Inc., receives the Meritorius Service award, as ‘In Appreciation of the Year’ honors are bestowed upon Susan Benigas, Media Events Partnership Co. president; Sandra Moore, Urban Strategies, Inc. president; and Dorothy White-Coleman, White Coleman & Associates, LLC manager.

Sunday's family-oriented gala features a mini-variety show of dazzling entertainment by Best Talent Center, professional recording artist and Club alumnus Jamie ‘King James’ Dennis, St. Louis Academy of Dance Pazazz Performers, the Super Bowl Champion Mathews-Dickey 8-Heavy and 9-Light Bulldog Cheerleaders, several Mathews-Dickey members and the Washington University Pikers.
KTRS Morning Show Co-Host Bill Wilkerson emcees the weekend's festivities, joined on Saturday evening by his morning show co-host Wendy Wiese and KTVI Fox 2 Sports Anchor/Reporter Rob Desir.
Major sponsors are the Adam's Mark Hotel, Anheuser Busch, Inc. and Equal Sweetener Foundation.
