Healthy living helps youth become whole and well individuals. Youth learn to shop for, prepare and even grow nutritious foods. We offer tips and health resources to counteract childhood obesity, diabetes and other chronic illnesses which can lead to problems with day-to-day functioning and even carry over into adulthood.
Participants learn about science experiments and math measurements by engaging in aeroponic, vertical gardening and healthy cooking. Eighty-three percent of participants report they now enjoyed eating fruits and vegetables and 87% were inspired to make healthier life choices.
Programs are offered in collaboration with Green Bronx Machine in New York and Operation Food Search.
