Healthy living helps youth become whole and well individuals. Youth learn to shop for, prepare and even grow nutritious foods. We offer tips and health resources to counteract childhood obesity, diabetes and other chronic illnesses which can lead to problems with day-to-day functioning and even carry over into adulthood.

 

Participants learn about science experiments and math measurements by engaging in aeroponic, vertical gardening and healthy cooking. Eighty-three percent of participants report they now enjoyed eating fruits and vegetables and 87% were inspired to make healthier life choices.

 

Programs are offered in collaboration with Green Bronx Machine in New York and Operation Food Search.

Ambassadors for Health Initiative | Ages 13 – 18  REGISTER

Teen ambassadors are chosen for their dedication to community service, extracurricular

participation, and academic excellence. Ambassadors are encouraged to serve as “change

agents” and work with their peers on a call to action to encourage youth to talk about the 

barriers to infant vitality and overall health and wellness. Through this initiative, they

launched an educational resource website in 2017:
