The Key to Success- "Beyond the Sport"
We offer a wide range of athletics, after school programs, summer camp and career readiness programs to provide children with positive experiences that build leadership, teamwork and personal responsibility.
Our programs are designed to help children experience the feeling of success and accomplishment. That’s why our new strategic vision is on programming and learning “Beyond the Sport”.
With athletics as the platform, we surround children with the arts, supplemental education, healthy living and professional development opportunities to lead to college scholarships and mold them into responsible, productive citizens. This support will go a long way toward helping us step up our efforts to close the achievement gap in our area.
Mathews-Dickey’s teams compete successfully at all levels, locally, regionally and nationally. Athletic opportunities include baseball, softball, T-ball, basketball, football, swimming, golf, tennis, soccer, and team cheerleading.
Our popular eight-week summer day camp for children ages 6-18 provides opportunities for recreation, education, cultural-awareness, entertainment and job skills for youth while their parents are at work. Campers may choose from a menu of options, including sports, academic enrichment, arts classes, swimming, and more. Breakfast and lunch are included each day.
Our after-school programs include opportunities in the arts, music, culinary skills and healthy living. Programs are typically available Mondays through Fridays from 3:30-8 p.m.
Discover Your Talents, Realize Your Potential
Students in middle and high school may participate in a number of career readiness programs, working with business, university and civic adult volunteers to learn about civic and community engagement, understand financial literacy, begin their professional development and more.
Workshops, service projects, and other special events provide additional opportunities for youth to increase their knowledge, develop leadership and life skills, and discover career opportunities.
MEMBERSHIP IS YOUR PASSPORT
